Where the Light Comes In looks into the temporary architecture that rises before, around, and behind the permanent one. Scaffolding tubes, ladders, and diagonal braces cross and overlap until the frame becomes a dense, almost woven field of lines. Through it, a single shaft of light falls from above, catching the edges of the steel and revealing a draped, half-hidden form at the center. Black, silver, and faint traces of rust red build a quiet drama between structure and void, between what is being built and what is still concealed.

The image was taken in 2005 during the construction of the roof of MIDE, the Interactive Museum of Economics, housed in the former Betlemitas convent in Mexico City's historic center, a project designed by the artist with Entasis Arquitectos. It records the moment before the architecture is revealed, and is rendered with a painterly, watercolor-like texture.

Printed on 315 gsm Cold Press Watercolour Paper, the textured matte surface gives the image a tactile, fine-art character while preserving subtle tonal transitions and intricate detail. A white border surrounds the image like a mat, ready to frame.

Available in four proportional sizes: 8×12, 12×18, 16×24, and 24×36 inches.

Unframed. Limited edition.
