TLACTLI, Torso Study takes its name from the Nahuatl word for torso and is one of the drawings behind adelavega's work Caos y Orden (Chaos and Order). Curved, cushion-like modules, each a square bent into a soft convex surface, stack and shift against one another until their outline reads as a body: shoulders, waist, hips. Quick graphite contours define the joints while gray shading turns each panel toward the light, testing how a modular, almost architectural system can carry the weight and presence of a human figure.
Printed on 315 gsm Cold Press Watercolour Paper, the textured matte surface gives the image a tactile, fine-art character while preserving subtle tonal transitions and intricate detail.
Available in four proportional sizes: 9×12, 18×24, 24×32, and 36×48 inches.
Unframed. Limited edition.
