SILHOUETTE, Figure and Void Study is the original drawing behind adelavega's Silhouette series. Over a grid of squares traced with diagonals and inscribed circles, a single curved contour rotates from module to module, cutting each cell into figure and void. Gray planes advance, a warm pink ground recedes, and soft blue shadows mark the edges where the curve turns, revealing how a simple geometric rule becomes a continuous, almost woven surface.
Printed on 315 gsm Cold Press Watercolour Paper, the textured matte surface gives the image a tactile, fine-art character while preserving subtle tonal transitions and intricate detail.
