OZTOTL I, Cavity Study

OZTOTL I takes its name from the Nahuatl word for cave. Layer after layer of cut geometry folds inward, each plane peeling away from the one above it like strata opening in rock. Light catches the upper surfaces and fades as the planes recede, until the center falls into a deep, solid black. On the right, a rhythm of narrow fins compresses the space; at the top, a broad canopy hovers over the void. Every edge is drawn by the thickness of the material itself, turning a small, precise geometry into an architecture of depth, threshold, and shadow.

Printed on 315 gsm Cold Press Watercolour Paper, the textured matte surface gives the image a tactile, fine-art character while preserving subtle tonal transitions and intricate detail. A white border surrounds the image like a mat, ready to frame.

Available in four sizes: 8×12, 12×18, 16×24, and 24×36 inches.
